Rosemary

A Mediterranean shrub that dies from kindness far more often than from neglect.

Rosemary

Growing

Gritty, free-draining soil and a pot that dries out between waterings. Overwatering is the number one killer. In cold wet winters, shelter from rain matters more than shelter from frost.

Harvesting

Cut green stems any time; never cut back into old bare wood, which rarely reshoots.

Using

Woody and strong — one sprig goes a long way. Excellent in infused oil, roast vegetables and bread.
